I'm an unapologetically knitting-obsessed and proud Canadian living in London with my son and husband, a lot of yarn, a spinning wheel, a little weaving loom and a not-so-little knitting machine. Passionate about craft - nothing inspires me more than working with and meeting the talented makers and artists in our industry.
Being a part of the knitting community and supporting yarn and fibre folk is very important to me. As one half of Yarn in the City (along with Rachel Brown of Porpoise Fur), I help to plan London's annual Great London Yarn Crawl and the biennial Yarnporium, as well as a number of other knitting-centric events in and around London. We also put out the bi-weekly Yarn in the City podcast.
Operating as Champagne Communications, I'm a sales representative for SweetGeorgia Yarns in the UK as well a number of other luxury brands. I also freelance in marketing and communications for other clients in the knitting, fibre and textile industry. My specialty is in digital and social media but I'm also a whiz at project management, strategy, PR and seeing the big picture.
