I've been juggling a few different things that are on the go around here but unfortunately not much worth blogging about. My honey is away on another business trip so it's also meant a fair bit of uninterrupted knitting time.
Following El Cangrecito, I dove into another small project that I received as a kit for Christmas from my mom:
This is Lipstick & Change - an adorable little felted purse that can be knit in three sizes. I'm doing the medium one. According to a few speedy knitters who have already made this (the pattern only came out last fall), the medium size will hold a mobile phone, credit card and lipstick - can't wait to find out if it's true!
I've also been ripping back on a sweater that I'm attempting to knit for my son. It's been on the needles for AGES but they're studying dinosaurs at school right now and I thought, hey, what better excuse than to finish the darn thing. That, and he doesn't wear a uniform to school so will actually be able to wear it!
I didn't use the yarn called for, so I have a bit of a (read: HUGE) gauge problem that is screwing up the intarsia chart and the neckline. After ripping back twice already, I'm hoping third time's a charm and that I can move onto sleeves soon.
And then there's the sooper sekrit project I'm working on with Rachel that we're not quite ready to talk about yet. Same goes for some potential work stuff, but I hope to be able to chat about that soon. In fact, that's probably what I should be working on right now. Stay tuned!
