Plotting

I'm heading out the door shortly to meet Rachel and do some recon on our "sooper sekrit project" (we should TM that...). But I thought I'd show you what I'll have simmering on the back burner of my brain today:

I *really* like it. But I still have one more sample to spin to see how I like it.

These are the two custom samples I've spun and tested my gauge on so far. Top: sample #1. Bottom: sample #2.

I'm finding the cool tones of sample #2 soothing and fresh.

Felicia at SweetGeorgia Yarns was kind enough to respond to my tweet looking for ideas of what to make with this pretty. She suggested Camp Out Fingerless Mitts. I think they're the perfect choice!

But I wouldn't be me if I wasn't completely and utterly and easily distracted by the prospect of yet another new project:

Those are the Little Cable Knee Highs from the Purl Soho blog that were featured in their latest newsletter. I've been saving some delicious Turtlepurl Striped Turtle Toes in the Burberry colourway for the right pattern for socks to keep my toasty in my rubber boots. (I bought mine at The Purple Purl - they specialise in Canadian indie yarn dyers). If you give Jen and Miko a call, they can hook you up.

What knitting adventures are you plotting today?
