If there's anything I hate more than a cold it would have to be a cold that knocks you on your butt for a couple of weeks, let's you feel mostly human for a couple of days (read: better), and then knocks you back down again for another week while that annoying kid Nelson from The Simpsons' voice reverberates in your head with, "ha! ha!".
But it's not like I was bitter or anything.
After such a brutal cold my most pressing concern was regaining some productivity. I like to be busy dammit! Besides, I'm almost through season 6 of Numb3ers on Netflix and I think my projects were starting to suffer...
Oh but this week my lovelies! The mojo is back! School runs, coffee with some of the other moms, hoovered the flat, folded laundry, cleaned kitchen (for the record, I feel like all I ever do is clean the kitchen), filed paperwork, did some freelance work, attended the building inspection for some minor repairs that are upcoming in our flat, worked on the sooper-sekrit-project, and so on.
Since I was feeling so jazzed about everything else moving forward (however incrementally), I moved on to the creative stuff. GlennaC wrote a great post recently that really resonated with me. It was about working on multiple projects at the same time and how when you're doing so and trying to make progress on all of them, the progress is usually quite minimal that you don't always see it. (Give it a read, the rest of her blog is uber fabulous too!).
Case in point? The following three projects. Super sped up for you with pics!
There's been spinning:
And even felting:
It's been fun, and awesome and I'm so happy to be back in the thick of things again.
Now if I could just extend that feeling to making it back to the gym...
