Quick post today as I'm a bit snowed under with some consulting work that I need to wrap up. The weather has been glorious here in London since the weekend and I'm itching to get back to a couple of new projects on the go. Nothing says spring quite like startitis, am I right? And seeing as it's WIP Wednesday:
On Saturday I set up my Sidekick on the balcony and started some beautiful SweetGeorgia Superwash BFL fibre in the brand new Spring Garden colourway. I only have the one braid so not sure if I will ply it or not. I may need to as it's coming out a bit overspun since I haven't done any spinning in a while.
And on the needles, a swatch for the Purlescence KAL of the lovely Tin Can Knits pattern Lush in SweetGeorgia Superwash DK. I LOVE this yarn. I plan on doing the pattern in two colours so am using both in my swatch to also see how it washes. If I have a lot of dye run in the swatch bath, I'll know to pre-set my yarn before I go any further. The yarns are well rinsed by the studio but sometimes there is still a bit of bleeding with some of the darker colours, especially blues. Better to find out now than before the colour runs into that lovely green!
What are you working on? Are you starting new projects too?
