I have had nothing but the best intentions to update this blog recently. Unfortunately, none of them made it here.
With apologies to the Yarn Harlot for borrowing her technique, here is a little of what I've been up to the past month or so:
1. It's my birthday
It was going great! until I fell down a few stairs while leaving work (yes, I'm a klutz but to be fair, my shoes were really fabulous AND it was raining). I landed on my hand while trying to break my fall and I'm not sure that I'll be knitting for the next few days, and spinning is definitely out of the question.
2. Yes, I said spinning!
My hubs got me a lovely, gorgeous Ladybug spinning wheel by Schact from the nice people at Shuttleworks in Calgary for our 5th wedding anniversary:
She doesn't have a name yet, but I'm open to suggestions!
3. The wheel spins like a dream and I decided to dig into some of the fibre that I'd been stashing. So I've been turning this:
New Zealand merino (80%) and silk (20%) in the colourway Pomegranate from Ashford fibres into this:
It has been unbelievable to spin with so far!
4. I started a new project that I won't be talking about here. Sorry! (it's for Christmas, what more can I say?!)
5. If I started a new project it means that I have finally finished THIS:
I still need to blog about the finishing and the wrap up of the project, but more on that another day.
