New year, new blog, old reflections

Welcome my friends, and Happy New Year!

I'm celebrating a new decade with a new blog, expanding out of the confines of my old one and sincerely hoping (with a desperation best not to think about) to make the most of new year energy and optimism to make more than semi-regular postings. As with all other new years resolutions, I have the best of intentions.

This is not the first time that I have started a new project with little more than a passing thought to whether or not it will be completed. I am definitely a victim of start-itis - and constantly. The older I get though, the more I think how refreshing it would be to actually FINISH something, how novel. Of course, the older I get the more often I feel that the less I get done, so to actually complete something that I've started has an overwhelmingly satisfying feeling of accomplishment!

It's with a bit of a giggle though, that as I start this new blog as a rebirth of my old one, that I recognize a blog as being one of those things that is a constant and evolving work in progress. As I work through my stash of crafty projects (and without a doubt start new ones along the way), I hope to have a few finishes, and continue to evolve as an individual - the consummate WIP - and be better for it.
