Still catching up

I'm in a bit of a time crunch today so a few randoms for you:

From a lot of white to an explosion of colour!

1. Remember the yarn bombing for Wool Week project? Well I recently wrote a guest blog for Knitty with an overview of how it all turned out.

2. Julie over at Knitted Bliss has set herself some small goals for the winter season and I think its a great way to make the season more manageable (and not so focused on Christmas!). Her graphic also makes me want to play with PicMonkey more.

3. Austen has been blogging daily on her blog and I loved her quote from from a week ago.

The Baby Surprise Jacket and booties I knit for Mr. Russell this past summer.

4. My boss had a baby - he's the ultimate work-in-progress. Can't wait to see pics of him in all his yummy handknits!

5. Knitters are awesome.

6. More knitting awesomeness. This project was a serious labour of love, and national pride!

I need some spinning mojo!

7. I still need to spin a sweater's worth of yarn. Eep! Any bets on if it will actually happen?

Mr. H's big day

Quick post today as I'm running out the door but wanted to post these fun pics from Mr. H's birthday party. We had it three weeks after his actual birthday, to coordinate weekends with the other little people in his class who also had birthdays in September! Ah, the jockeying of the schedules in primary school...

Mr. H chose a dinosaur theme based on goody bag items I brought back to the UK with us (thank you Target!), and we rounded it out with some facepainting and dinosaur games with Sharky & George.

Enjoy!
