Well it's been a busy few days. I felt so good finishing that RR piece on Sunday that I picked up another UFO that had been languishing around here and decided to get it done as well. This is a birth sampler/announcement that I have stitched for a really good friend of mine out west for her new little guy, Ben. We all called him Buzz before he made his appearance, hence his "nickname" being immortalized as well! As you can see, Ben arrived at the end of February. I had actually finished the stitching some time ago and was just waiting to personalize it when he arrived. Unfortunately, when I did I mis-counted when I was lining up his name and it was completely off-centre. I was so disgusted with myself, and with how long it took to unpick, that I had pitched it into a UFO pile to deal with later.
Well later finally arrived and last night I finished it off into a pillow. Luckily I had gone back to the quilt store nearby to pick up a second fat quarter of fabric - their last one with this print! I think it totally makes it and is a lovely soft flannel. Too bad there's really nothing left (I backed the stitching with it as well). Anyway, hopefully I can post it in the next day or so but it's nice to have another project done and dusted. Since going through my UFOs seems to be going so well, the next one I've drawn out of the pile is a big one, and I'm only giving myself 2-3 weeks to do it! Wish me luck!
