The C&Q Vlog Episode 4: Crochet Retreat in France with Attic 24
What a fun episode!
Back at the end of April and beginning of May one of my freelance gigs was as a tour manager with Arena Travel on one of their Stitchtopia Holidays. They do really fun, niche-focused holidays around craft: knitting, crochet, quilting, cross stitch. etc. I had connected with them a while back but hadn’t had a chance to work with them yet so I was excited when they asked if I would accompany Lucy from Attic 24 to France for a crochet retreat! Yes please!
We stayed in a very charming chateau in the Savoy region of France and the retreat included four full days of workshops with Lucy, along with a couple of day trips to see the local area. Naturally, I dragged my camera along to be able to show you all what it was like!
KNITS ON SCREEN //
The shawl I’m wearing at the end of the episode is Drachenfels by Melanie Berg. It was knit up in the organic Cheeky Merino Joy by Rosy Green Wool.
TRAVEL NOTES //
We stayed in Challes-les-Eaux and did day trips to Aix-les-Bains and Chambéry.
If you’re interested in your stitching-related holiday, check out Stitchtopia Holidays from Arena Travel.
Huge thanks to Tracey, Jen, Donna, Clare and Jenny for sharing their thoughts about our crochet adventures in France!
YARN SHOPS //
Côté Fil - yarn, embroidery and haberdashery in Aix-les-Bains
La Mercerie Café Créatif - yarn, fabric and haberdashery in Chambéry
LUCY & ATTIC 24 //
You can find Lucy’s blog and amazing blanket patterns here.
The yarn we used in the workshops was cotton Ricorumi DK in a special palette put together by Lucy for the workshops.
Finally, in this episode I mistakenly referred to our second project as a Dreamcatcher. The project is actually called a Daydream Mandala and I apologise for using the wrong term and the term Dreamcatcher inappropriately.
