Ever wondered what it takes to make your own bespoke yarn? From sourcing the wool to choosing colour palettes, thinking about local provenance to working with international mills and dye houses, these makers have all made different decisions for their business.

Wild & Woolly x Knit15 Presents: Knitters’ Question Time

From straightening out your wobbly rib to re-sizing advice. From finding the right pattern for your knitting mood to making friends with colour. From locating your lost knitting mojo to puzzling out intarsia on a seamless sweater, we’ve all got questions we wish we had answers to. They may be big, small, technical, spiritual, radical, practical, or even slightly ridiculous.

We welcome them all!

Always a popular session, Knitters’ Question Time is your chance to pose the questions you’ve been aching to ask and get answers from five expert knitters with a combined knitting age of over a hundred sweaters. 

This year’s panel of experts includes Anna Feldman from Wild & Woolly, designer George Cullen, designer and co-founder of BIPOC in Fiber Jeanette Sloan, designer Sylvia Watts-Cherry, and Wendy Peterson of Yarnsub. The panel will be moderated by Helen Reed of The Wool Kitchen
